Why should I seal my block paving?

What are the benefits of sealing your block paving?

Sealing block paving will create a barrier and coat that repels water, oil and dirt. Sealing will also help to preserve the natural beauty of the paving for years to come. One of the biggest benefits of sealing your paving is that the sealer acts as a weed inhibitor. The sealer sets the sand hard between the joints helping to prevent things from growing between them and discouraging weed growth.

What does the sealing process involve?

Before we apply any sealer, we clean the surface including removing all weeds and dirt out of the joints. Then once dry, we apply fresh sand into the joints between the blocks to keep them secure and to prevent them from sinking. Then as the final step, we seal the block paving and joints to give your driveway that fresh new look, with the bonus of protection from unwanted oil spills and weeds.

Our sealing part of the business this year has really taken off, many customers weren’t aware of the benefits you can get from sealing your paving. This has made us as a company put that extra effort in to educate our customers on the benefits of getting your driveway sealed.
